The Schoolyear of Scott

So since I am the most impatient person in the world, I have decided to start my Summer a bit early.  After all, I am paying just over $7 a month for this blog and I need to start seeing some RO my I.  So any stories that I feel that you, my audience (which is currently at two readers, thanks AwStats) will find entertaining, I will write about.

Last night I went to dinner with my friend Hillary, her sister Whitney, her sister’s husband Frank and two lesbian friends of theirs at a place called Grand Central Pizza in East Atlanta.  The fact that the two other girls are lesbians doesn’t really come into play in the story, but I am trying to paint a picture here.  Prior to dinner, I had consumed a couple beers and actually had my very first Whynatte (think a Jager Bomb but instead of Red Bull, its a latte), which I officially give my stamp of approval to.

So anyway, the point is, I had had a few drinks.  As I am known to do, once we showed up at the pizza place, I really, really had to pee.  I find the bathroom, which has one of those signs that has both the male and the female sillouhete next to it.  I am puzzled because I am used to seeing signs with just one sillouhete next to it, because, otherwise, how do you know where it is acceptable to pee and where is it not?  I just assume that this is some sheek East Atlanta pizza joint and it has evolved (or devolved some might say) to the point where men and women can pee together in peace.  Now let me clarify – This is not a singular bathroom with one toilet that has a door that locks.  This is a bathroom with three stalls, two sinks, etc.  So I walk in the bathroom, choose a stall (there are no urinals in unisex bathrooms, I learned) and then I let the games begin, so to speak.

Back at the table, I begin telling the story of my adventure, much like I have done in this blog post.  After eating a couple Banana Pepper Pizza slices and a few Bud Lights, I decide to make the venture once again to the unisex bathroom.  I’m actually kind of feeling excited to experience a unisex bathroom once again while I make the walk to it when I spot a second door in the hallway that has just the male silouhette next to it.  This puzzles me, as why would they have a unisex bathroom and a men’s bathroom but no women’s bathroom?  After seriously about 45 seconds, which actually included me walking up to the second floor of the restaurant to find a women’s bathroom, my Emory education kicks in and I realize that I actually didn’t pee in a unisex bathroom…I peed in the women’s bathroom.

Now I’ve peed in women’s bathrooms before, though usually it is in the case of an emergency at a bar.  One time I was at RU Sans and the Sushi Master told me to pee in the women’s bathroom, so I obayed his order.  Never disobay the Sushi Master. But this was the first time I ever peed in a women’s bathroom at a family restaurant early in the evening.  At least it was in East Atlanta though…the women probably just thought I was a tranny.
